1. Who We Are

1. RealityRoot is a critical thinking and media literacy programme for children aged 8 to 12. It is operated by Dr. Saurabh Chandrakar, a medical professional and founder of RealityRoot Initiative, based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India.

2. What RealityRoot Is and Is Not

1. RealityRoot is an educational programme. It builds habits of critical thinking and media literacy in children. It is not a clinical intervention, therapeutic programme, or medical service of any kind.
2. RealityRoot does not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical advice for any condition. If your child requires professional psychological or medical support, please consult a qualified clinician.
3. RealityRoot does not guarantee any specific learning outcome, behavioural change, or developmental result. Individual results will vary.
4. RealityRoot is not a school, a tutoring service, or an accredited educational institution under Indian law.

3. Eligibility and Enrolment

1. RealityRoot is designed for children aged 8 to 12. The parent or legal guardian of the child must be the enrolling party.
2. By enrolling, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and that you have the authority to consent on the child's behalf.
3. You confirm that the child is aged between 8 and 12 years at the time of enrolment.
4. RealityRoot reserves the right to decline enrolment at its discretion without providing a reason.

4. How the Programme Is Delivered

1. The six-week programme is delivered via WhatsApp and email. Each week, a pre-recorded video session (10–15 minutes), a discussion card, and a parent guide are sent to the enrolled family.
2. RealityRoot is not a live or interactive programme. Sessions are pre-recorded. There is no live instruction, real-time tutoring, or direct child-to-presenter interaction.
3. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child watches the sessions and completes the offline activities. RealityRoot is not responsible for incomplete engagement.
4. RealityRoot reserves the right to update, modify, or refresh programme content. Updated content will be communicated to enrolled families.

5. Your Data and Your Child's Data

This section explains exactly what data we collect, why, and what your rights are. We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and DPDP Rules 2025. Under Indian law, every person under 18 is a child. We treat all enrolled children's data with the highest level of care.

1. What we collect: Parent name, email address, WhatsApp number, city, child's first name and age, programme pre and post survey responses.
2. What we do not collect: Child photographs, school name, home address, financial information beyond payment records, any sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.
3. Why we collect it: To deliver the programme, communicate with enrolled families, and measure programme outcomes for research purposes. We do not collect data for advertising or marketing to third parties.
4. How it is stored: All personal data is stored in password-protected files accessible only to RealityRoot's founder on India-compliant platforms (Google Workspace).
5. How long we keep it: Programme data is retained for two years after batch completion. Survey data used for research is anonymised after two years. You may request deletion at any time.
6. Third party sharing: We do not share your data or your child's data with any third party without your explicit separate written consent.
7. Your rights: You have the right to access, correct, withdraw consent, and request deletion. Email privacy@realityroot.in. We respond within 72 hours.
8. If there is a data breach affecting your or your child's personal data, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.

6. Your Consent

1. By enrolling your child, you give verifiable parental consent under the DPDP Act 2023 for RealityRoot to collect and process the data described in Clause 5.
2. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@realityroot.in. Withdrawal results in unenrolment and deletion of all data within 72 hours.
3. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the validity of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.

7. Payment, Fees, and Refunds

1. Batch 1 is offered entirely free of charge. No payment is required to enrol in Batch 1. Clauses 7.2 to 7.6 below apply to future paid batches only and do not affect Batch 1 families.
2. The Standard tier programme fee and Complete tier membership fee are as communicated at the time of enrolment. Fees are subject to change with 30 days notice.
3. Payment is accepted via the payment link provided at enrolment. All payments are in Indian Rupees.
4. A full refund is available if requested within 7 days of enrolment and before the first session has been accessed. After this period, no refund is available.
5. Complete tier monthly membership may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. No partial month refunds are provided.
6. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 working days of the approved refund request.
7. Applicable taxes including GST will be added to fees where required by Indian law.

8. The RealityRoot Community Platform

1. The Community is available to Complete tier families. It is an educational support platform — not a clinical service or crisis support line.
2. Expert webinars are educational presentations. Experts are sharing knowledge — not providing individual clinical consultations, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.
3. Parents must not share their child's clinical history, sensitive personal information, or identifying information in the community WhatsApp group.
4. RealityRoot moderates the community group. Content that is promotional, offensive, or irrelevant may be removed without notice.

9. Safeguarding

1. RealityRoot is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all enrolled children.
2. If your child shows signs of significant distress or if you are worried about their wellbeing, please contact a qualified professional. RealityRoot can help direct you to appropriate resources but cannot provide direct support.
3. RealityRoot does not manage safeguarding concerns directly. We are an educational programme, not a welfare or clinical service.

10. Intellectual Property

1. All RealityRoot programme content — video sessions, scripts, discussion cards, parent guides, and all associated materials — is the intellectual property of RealityRoot Initiative.
2. Enrolled families are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the programme content for the enrolled child's participation only.
3. You may not record, reproduce, share, sell, publish, or distribute any RealityRoot content in any form without written permission.
4. Sharing programme session links with non-enrolled individuals is not permitted.

11. Limitation of Liability

1. RealityRoot's liability to any enrolled family is limited to the total fees paid by that family in the three months preceding the claim.
2. RealityRoot is not liable for any clinical or psychological outcome relating to participation; any content your child encounters outside the programme; technical issues with WhatsApp, email, or internet connectivity; or any indirect or consequential damages.
3. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Changes to These Terms

1. RealityRoot may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. You will be notified of material changes via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
2. Continued use of the programme after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India.
2. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India.
3. RealityRoot will attempt to resolve any dispute informally before any legal proceedings are commenced. Contact contact@realityroot.in in the first instance.

14. Entire Agreement

1. These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Notice and any cohort-specific enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between RealityRoot and the enrolled parent.
2. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
